HELP!! Did I have an ANXIETY attack?

I'm hopping over from the migraine forum.

Due to my on-going migraines I developed anxiety. I take 20 mg. of buspar 2x day.

Yesterday I had gotten excruciating pains first in my abdonmen that went up into my chest /throat/and jaw area.  I had a terrible time breathing and started shaking uncontrollably. My fiance called the ambulance and I was brought to the ER.

The doc ran all heart tests and everything came back normal.  I should say that within an hour of the symptoms first started my pain had subsided, my breathing back to normal, and I was just completely dizzy and unbelievably tired!

I must have been tired from the shock of all the pain so suddently I imagine.  I asked the doc if she thought it was anxiety...she stated no.  They could not find anything wrong with me.

WHAT in the world happened to me? Has anyone experienced this?? I honestly thought I was going to die.  I told the doc and my fiance that I would rate that pain 2nd only to childbirth.

Any help....greatly appreciated.

I am not sure how the ER Doctor ruled out the possibility that you were not having an anxiety attack.

I hope you are having follow up tests.  I am assuming all your lab work and EKG were normal a cardiac event.

I would wonder if you have had any GERD or problems with heartburn and if so I would discuss this with your physician.

I am sure you were rightfully frightened.
