I guess it would really depend on what you are looking for out of a medication - if your anxiety is increasing and staying high on a daily basis, I would say you should see your
doctor and talk about
a daily medication that would be suitable. I had a horrible reaction to Cymbalta, but did ok with Zoloft, there are so many options for daily meds, its really about
finding the right fit. I have Ativan for when I'm having a full out panic attack and need something right then to help settle me down, I rarely use them and try to keep it that way because they can be addictive, however I have them for when I really need it. It really just makes me sleepy, although sometimes the next day I feel like I have a bit of a "hangover" - it might be related to the Ativan or I could just be dehyrdated. I know all docs are different but I don't believe they typically prescribe Ativan for daily use, like Kitt said its more of an "as needed" drug. If you're feeling like you might only need a little help once in a while it might be good option, but if its daily you might consider other treatments. Talk to your doctor, I hope you can find a solution that works for you! Everyone is different so be
open to whatever works for you! Good Luck!
