I can't remember when was the last time I posted on this forum. I can't even think clearly right now so I will try to make this short and to-the-point. I'm not sure if some of you remember me but I've been on healingwell since last year or even before that(2008), trying to find answers to symptoms I have but to no avail. I've seen many doctors, and the finally concluded that the only thing I have is some sort of anxiety disorder. I am currently taking prozac daily.
Anyway, right now I am looking for the cause of my Beau's Lines. I have those on my toenails most prominently, and I've read that they are usually caused by a 'serious illness'! I am thinking if I should see a doctor (AGAIN) but I have a feeling they will just say it's nothing.
Beau's lines are horizontal ridges on your nails and they are usually very deep. More info can be found online.
This is what I obtained from the Net:
"Beau's lines develop in response to many diseases, such as syphilis, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, myocarditis, peripheral vascular disease, and zinc deficiency, and to illness accompanied by high fevers, such as scarlet fever, measles, mumps, and pneumonia. "
So if I supposedly am healthy, why do I have these Beau's Lines?
They've been around a few years
Anyone else has them?
I wonder if I DO have a serious illness which doctors have not yet discovered....
Anyone has Beau's Lines but are healthy??
