Hello friends,
So my anxiety has been through the roof for weeks now. Today I had an appt. with my new neurologist to discuss my on going symptoms that we thought might be related to my previous lyme disease.
I have a headache since November. He reviewed my MRI's and CT scans and all my recent labs. He was very thorough. He also didn't blame all my problems on anxiety which impressed me.
Here is the kicker. He saw more than just a few white lesions on my MRI. He said that your vessels in your brain are supposed to be nice and smooth and go in straight patterns. Apparently some of mine showed that the are not smooth. They are kind of lumpy and jagged looking.
He said sometimes this could indicate vasculitis which could be a primary or secondary disease. I have to get an MRA in the morning.
My anxiety is so high right now I can't even think straight. I have no idea what the next step would be if the MRA does show inflammation. The only definite way to diagnose is by a biopsy. EEEEEEEKKKKK!!!!
He did prescribe Nortriptyline HCL..a tricylic (have no idea how to spell that) antidepressant that is supposed to help head pain. I checked with my psych doctor and since it is a low dose it is safe to take with my Zoloft.
I can't take this worry anymore. I spent all of my 20's with health problems and now I am 35 and it is still continuing. I never get an answer. I just continue to suffer and worry.
I am sorry....I just needed to vent. My head is killing, can't stop crying, scared to death and to make my evening even better my husband has to leave to work the night shift.
I think it's going to be a long night.
Thanks for listening to my sob story....Blessings, kitkat
