New job with anxiety

After 2 yrs of being unemployed I finally received a temp job. It doens't start till the 23rd of February, can anyone help me with coping with the anxiety? The job is going around and talking with people and taking a census. I always had problems talking with new people, so if anyone can give me ideas on how to approach this and get through it, I would appreciate it. if anyone has done this job before can you give me ideas of what to expect. I can't turn this job down and I really need it so anything will help.

Do you have any of the fast acting meds such as Xanax or Klonopin? It might be a good idea to take those the first few days of working to help you get to where you are more comfortable talking to people. If you don't have any, I might suggest you visiting your doctor beforehand and asking for a low dose med to help calm you. Good luck!
