what can anyone tell me about anti-anxiety meds?

So sorry to hear about all the fear. I take 40 mg of Citalopram (Celexa) in the morning for my depression and I take Ativan 1 mg when needed when I feel real bad and the anxiety feels like it is taking over me. The Celexa took a few weeks to kick in, but I feel 90 percent better. I still have bad days but not half as bad as before. My first panic attack was January 6th 2010. Scared the living daylights out of me. Ended up in the ER twice. I feel much better now. I am also taking vitamin b12 and b complex. As far as worrying about taking medicine, try it and see if it works. If it doesn’t try a different kind. There are so many meds out there. I am sure your doctor will find something that will work. You are worrying yourself into panic. And that can be an awful thing. Hang on, other people will be here soon to also post. Good luck, things will get better in due time.
