I know ive only posted like once but I thought I would say bye.

Tomorrow morning at 2 am i will be headed to north to Walter reed army medical center. I will arrive there around 6 am. I got a call telling me info and where to go/do etc.. I was also told that im the first one of the day signed up for a surgery.

I will be getting a colectomy. They are going to remove my appendix and of course my colon, they will leave no more than 4 in. at my bottom. I'll most likely be getting an epidural because I think it will be a bit easier on me for when i wake up.

I thought knowing how much time i had left until my surgery would increase my thought of time through out the days, but everything seemed to go by faster. People "friends and family" have been asking ( Are you nervous? ) And for some reason I am not. I usually freak out and stress out about things alot but when I was told I was having surgery my mind just went blank kinda...

I have to start Movi-prep in 30 mins yay.. not.. heh, but I know I will be ok after I get it all down.

Dear Adam,

I am sorry to hear you need the surgery but please know that we will be right here thinking of you and please don't consider this a good-bye but perhaps "I will see you later"

We are always right here for you so know that after surgery you are welcome here and we would love to hear how you are doing.

I am glad to hear your anxiety has not overwhelmed you as you are obviously going into major surgery with a positive attitude.

I have a husband with Crohn's disease so I know a fair amount of what your going through. He just had his 4th major surgery in February. His first surgery was 33 years ago. He does well in between surgeries. This one was hard on him but lucky to say he is doing pretty darn good now.

Good luck on your surgery I think its great that you can have that kind of attitude towards your surgery, I would be a nervous wreck. Please come back so that we will know how you are doing, remember we are all here for you. Good luck and have a speedy recovery.
