This is not much of a concern, just curious if any others with anxiety/panic issues have ever had this problem. There have been two seperate occassions (within the past 5 years) that I have had irregular EKGs (these taken during/after panic attacks). After running many tests and even being hospitalized, everything was fine. Has this happened to you?

I have had only one EKG, and though I was feeling fluttery, skipped beat (pvc's) my result was normal. I think I read somewhere once that P/A's could result in a temporary abnormal reading. (I could be wrong on this I am NOT an expert or in health care) If you were released with your doctor giving you a clean bill of health, then I wouldn't worry. If it would help you feel better, you could request a Holter (sp?) monitor that takes a long-time reading for a better representation on how your heart is functioning.

Even if not a holter monitor, maybe just another EKG when you're not having an attack might help give you some reassurance; especially if as SC suggested P/A's cause a falsely abnormal reading. Whatever happened in the past is in the past. What matters is that you're healthy today.
