I keep telling myself that it's just the meds. it's just the meds. but yesterday gave me such false hope after a weekend of panic attacks and throwing up. i felt normal yesterday, honestly more normal than i've felt in months. and now today i'm right back to where i was a week ago.
this is normal right? to fluctuate between feeling good and crappy while the meds are still kicking in? this is only day 5 so i know i've been posting a lot and to others it's like "you'll be FINE, stop freaking out" but oh my god i'm terrified

Hi Ll, I don't take medication, but I can have major fluctuations with how I feel according to my anxiety levels. Some days I feel as if I could rule the world, and others...I'm lucky to just get through them-lol;)
I consider anxiety a chronic illness. Sometimes the symptoms are barely there and other times it's a fight not to panic. Even if I have a great run-days or weeks with out symptoms, I know that they can creep back if I don't manage the stress in my life.
Try to practice progressive muscle relaxation and breathing exercises daily-even the good days. You will then be ready to use them when needed.
Hope your feeling better soon. Keep posting:)

Every day should be better, as for how long medication kicks in your system approximately 4-6 weeks, although I ask about
that myself since I still have my days some better than others.

I think (if this is right medication and dosage for you) that with time you'll notice a difference. You'll still have good days and not so good days, but with the medication you should hopefully feel less of the extremes. So you can't expect to be anxiety-free, but the intensity of it should be significantly lessened.
