Home Alone & Lots Of Anixety & Thoughts

     I just needed someone to talk to.My husband spent 6 hours in ER Sunday night & admitted with CHF. I have such a headache & thoughts of what if it's a stroke or a brain bleed in all reality I know it's stress and lack of sleep I have 15 people coming for Christmas Eve and I have tons to do I cant drive due to my anixety so I have to depend on my son to take me to the hospital and everywhere else. I have to clean shop for the rest of the dinner and  cook it while worring about my husband and going to the hospital to see him. I dont even know if he will be home for Christmas. To much to handle. I tried cleaning the house but with my ear ringing head hurting dizziness I didnt get to far and I am scared to be alone for the 3rd night. How can I handle all this stress without having major panic attack, I just want to crawl into bed and stay there, I cant keep my thoughts away from what if something happens to him and I am alone like this forever. Dr's told us it's not going to get any better for him his heart muscle is to weak they will try to control it with meds. I am all over the place here I am so sorry I think it is lack of sleep. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with everything that scaredycat wrote. Scale back, delegate and take some time for yourself. You can't help and support your husband when you feel terrible. Please call your doctor and get some medical support so you can sleep, feel re-energized and de-escalate the anxiety level. You are very wise not to attempt driving when you are so sleep deprived.
about every three years, I am in the ER two to six times a year due to blood loss from a chronic illness. I suspect it is a lot harder for my family than it is for me.
When I am in the hospital around Christmas, I order a complete Christmas dinner from a local shop and have family members bring their special dishes. This way my husband doesn't go crazy trying to make the perfect Christmas dinner while I am sick and I still get to see everyone. (My husband is a terrible housekeeper but no one seems to be bothered by it.)
If your husband is not up to participating, ask him what he would like to do. Some years we postponed Christmas until I was home from the hospital. It was just as meaningful and fun to celebrate it later.

  Thank you all so much for your prayers and advice and I did take it, we decided to cut out the huge dinner and my daughter is making Lasagna and Sausage and peppers and we are having salad that's it my son is making the desert, there will still be quite a few people here ( all family our children mostly) I still feel like crap now pains in stomach Yikes always something,

  My husband got to come home for Christmas, he is still very sick though, they cant put the defibrillator in because he has a ulcer on his foot, he only has one leg the other one was amputated 3 years ago, so the Dr don't want to risk infection if they open the skin on his chest. he goes back to the Dr on Mon for a test and to look at the sore he is on meds and I guess the way the Dr put it we take it one step one day at a time, he is only 62. I will keep you all updated. I went to church last night which helped me a lot, our pastor is great. I did get the house cleaned today stomach pains or not.
