Hi All

Just popping in to say Hi. I hope the dreaded anxiety is not getting to many people down and as Bob Marly said " Don't worry be happy". I think that flowing with the anxiety is a good tip, Also try to stay positive in a bad situation and know their is light at the end of the tunnel is a nice thought.

I am all over the place at the moment like a yo-yo on a string so will need to get focused and start to listen to my own advise lol. Anyway stick in there guys and take care off yourself.

I am laughing and crying at the same time - on a med change which is always tough.  Weaning off of Effexor. sad

Tiny Tim = Don't Worry, Be Happy.  He also gave us "Tip Toe Through the Tulips "  Freqeuntly on Johnny Carson Show and always good for a laugh as I think this is the only person I could actually sing a bit better than -  smhair

Hang in there Ben! I am daily sending you good thoughts and wishes! I know that this stuff can get you down, especially when it drags on for so long:(

It is just like you to send out positive vibes, even when dealing with a tough situation yourself! You are a champion and such an important member of this community. You always bring joy, smiles and comfort to everyone here:)

Kitt stick in there I found it hard when I was coming of Effexor we are here for you. S.C thanks for the positive vibes and hope all is well with you. Howard Jones lol I remember that song nice hair cut you had to love the 80's some great music bit also some awful music lol.

Ben,  I know your situation is very tenuous  right now but do fight this battle with the company.  Knowing your career may be impacted but remember we care and we've got your back.

Just knowing someone who has weaned off of Effexor is comforting as I am encouraged by your words of kindness. 

My wish for you is that the world becomes all you want it to................

Hi Kitt

I am just back from a meeting with my union representative which went well and I am going to fight it and get my views across. The meeting with my employer is next week so fingers crossed and thanks for your support on this that means a lot.

I know what you are going through with the Effexor withdrawal as it is tough. I was on a high dose can not remember the exact dose now but worked my way all the way down to 37.5mg over a period of 2 months and went onto lexapro before I completely came off the Effexor which seemed to help.

I was glad I came of Effexor as I did get a lot of side effects on that med and put on a lot of weight in the process. Let us know how you get on with this and we will help you through take care of you Kitt.

Ben,  Your news is awesome and I am right here in your corner supporting you.

Believe it or not,  I was Co- President of our Union Negotiating Committe many years ago.

Then I took a position as the nurse manager of ER, Respiratory Therapy and the Registration Department -  I also managed, OB and Med-Surg and Critical Care  for a short time all at the same time. So I switched sides of the table.

I think that and all of the duties added to my job dumped me over.  That dang Type A personality kept me going and going like the energetic bunny.  smhair

Give the best you can Ben and know you have done a good job.
