I don't know about
your question regarding medications, but I have read countless books and articles attributing memory loss to anxiety. It is a common symptom, and not just limited to accute anxiety or even panic disorder.
GAD, or even gardern variety stress can cause temporary memory loss. From what I understand, temporary loss is normal. There is cause for concern only when the recall of something (that should be easy to remember/familiar data) is permantely lost.
I goofed and recited my cell phone number incorrectly the other day, I just couldn't get the last two numbers right. I knew what I had said was wrong, but I had to relax, think about
it for a minute, then call back with the right number...how embarassing!
I hope that this helps put your mind at ease. I know also that some people suffer 'Fibro-fog' when dealing with this disorder. Have you checked out our Fibro furum? Please feel free to post here and there, as you will find great information and support both places!
Take care,
