Hi and welcome! First of all congratulations on your accomplishment! I am so sorry that this exciting day is being threatened by anxiety:( Isn't sad when our fears take what should be a fun experience and try to ruin it?
I do think though that often the anticipation of the event is worse than the reality. I think that if you take some time to relax, focus on your deep breathing, before and during the ceremony/banquet, by the time you are at the dance, you will be having a great time.
Picture a positive outcome to all of these things. Imagine yourself crossing the stage with a confident smile, enjoying the food and feeling well at the dinner, and dancing with all of your friends-having the time or you life at the dance;)
If you do start to feel unwell, just have an escape plan (a car/ride) in effect, so that you can leave if necessary. Even if that happens, at least you will know that you made your best effort and will have no regrets...but I think that you will do great!
For your stomach, try bringing something along with you that is soothing. For me, soda, dry crackers, tums, hard candy ect., help. You may have something that works well for you, so take it with you and use it.
I hope that this is an awesome day/night for you. Again congratulations, and let us know how it went soon Okay? Post here with us anytime, this is a great place for support from people who know what you're going through:)
