Anxiety and Dermatologist

I am still here and made it to the Dermatologist yesterday however I will admit that my legs felt like jello as I walked into the clinic.

3 areas on my face needed cryosurgery and I survived. The kicker was my fear - one area on arm probable basal cell carcinoma - biopsy was done. I had 3 basal cell skin carcinomas and 2 squamous cell skin carcinomas removed in 2008.

I can handle the surgical procedure but the anxiety drives me crazy !

Just a little update about what my day was like yesterday.............I will keep on taking babysteps.

Good for you for going in and taking care of busisness! I need to go myself...I used to go every year, but have slacked off:(

Oh the years we spent in baby oil on lawn chairs with aluminum reflectors aimed at our poor skin!!!

I have had to have the cryo/freezing procedure as well because of some benign (but potentially dangerous) spots...nothing like a little liquid nitrogen on your face hugh? :O

I will be praying that the biopsy is all clear. I'm sure it will be, but the waiting is the hardest part!

Thanks all...............I know I will be fine and having all of you to support me always helps.

My daughter said today, " Isn't it funny we go to the Dr's. looking ok and come home looking ugly ?" "bellylaugh"...........she is a hoot. Her first visit to Derm got her a biopsy on her face, benign thank goodness.
