Last nite I woke up about
4 AM, feeling sooo "chilled"..I was shivering-! NOT a "nite sweat"-there was NO sweating! Just a chilled feeling...that lasted for about
15-20 seconds, at most. Then, it went away & I went back to sleep! I DID have my central A/C on--even tho it was not really hot outside! (btw--I am a 64 yr old male-normal wt-not diabetic, no chronic issues)-
Anyway-This also happened to me about 2 months ago--& I have had it happen...very RARELY- maybe once or twice/year....last few yrs!
Last time it happened, I told my Dr--he did not think it was anything serious--thought "could be anxiety or hormonal"-
I recently returned from the Mayo Clinic (In Rochester Minnesota--for a neuromuscular issue--that ALSO turned out to be nothing)- & they gave me a very thorough blood test-Everything was fine--I should add I am a bit of a hypochondriac, & worry I have some serious disorder!
I would appreciate -if a few of you could get back who have ALSO experienced this sensation & what YOU feel it could be--or what your Dr. said--! I hate feeling "alone...withn this issue!
I did some "internet"...research & I could find nothing! Some sites attribute it to "hormonal changes" (could it be "male menapause"..? Is there such a thing? Other sites mentioned anxiety! Hoping I can get some feedback--Thanks--Robert
