Hi Miss anxiety and welcome. Have you tried using breathing techniques to calm yourself when faced with events and travel?
Studies have shown that they are very effective in reversing both the mental and physical symptoms of anxiety. I can also personally back that up. When I am feeling anxious in any situation, breathing exercises can almost always reduce, or eliminate my symptoms.

I also like to use a positive mantra such as "I am okay, it is just anxiety making me feel this way." or "I have felt this way before, and made it through the situation...I can do it again this time."
