Cheet,
I am glad you went to the Drs. and yes your temp can drive your pulse up a bit but anxiety can send it through the roof. I am glad you understand how things work a bit better and now you can work at learning how to deal with the "what if ?" thoughts.
Scaredy Cat posted in the forum just this week explaining why our pulse goes up with anxiety and she did a great job explaining it. You may want to look for her post.
Treating your anxiety disorder will indeed help alleviate your tachycardia, as well as other anxious symptoms you might have. You should know it’s actually very common for people suffering from anxiety disorders to fear they’ll have a heart attack.
It’s even more common for people who really believe in such a thing to trigger sensations that may make them reinforce such fear, which in turn will actually reinforce their symptoms.
Do look over our resources thread at the top of the page as there are many great ideas to help you learn to control you anxiety.
I wish you peace,
Kitt
