Cymbalta for anxiety?

Has anyone taken this for anxiety? I went to the doctor because I am having a really hard time concentrating at work and I'm also really tired all the time. I was hoping she'd give me a stimulant but she gave me Cymbalta instead. 30 mg for a week, then 60 mg. She told me to take it in the mornings. Has anyone taken this?

I tried zoloft last summer but didn't like the sexual side effects so stopped after a few days. I've also tried wellbutrin for 6 weeks but it had no effect on me.

Sara,

I used Cymbalta for awhile but in the end it was not the drug for me. I hear many people say they like it. I heard yesterday from another nurse that some insurance companies are not paying for this med anymore but I do not know how accurate that is. You may want to check to see if your insurance covers Cymbalta. If you already have it then you will already know the answer.

It is worth trying so good luck.

Thanks, Kitt. Mine covers it but yes, it is extremely expensive.

Does anyone else take this?

I'm on day 4 or 5 and so far I have pretty bad insomnia. I have to take a xanax to sleep at all and last night I had to take two and still didn't sleep that well. I called my doctor to see if I should continue taking it and all she told me is I shouldn't be getting insomnia if I take it in the morning. Not helpful. lol. It's also making me kind of constipated and nauseous. I just wanted to take something that would help me concentrate at work, but if it's going to make me feel sick I don't want to take it.
