Hi everyone!
It's been a bit since I posted last and I just wanted to give a little update. First off, I think I am making a little stride....of course it's VERY small but at least it's in the right direction. Yesterday I went to lunch with a few people from work and not only did I eat but I was able to spend almost an hour and a half in the restaurant without have a panic attack OR having to take a xanax. Then last night I went to see my niece dance at the high school basketball game and as soon as I got in my seat I starting feeling the anxiety...I WANTED OUT....but I worked through it in my mind, did some breathing and next thing I knew my heart rate slowed down, my breathing was normal and the "i want out" feeling was gone! However, I didn't stay very long....only about
an hour but it felt good to have accomplished that.
Second, I had to drop my Zoloft down to 50mg from 75mg. Doctor said it was probably a little too much to start out with having been off of it for a while. It seemed to be giving me MORE anxiety after I took it. It appears the normal starting dose is 50mg so I'm going to go with that for about
a week and see how that goes.
And on a lighter note, for those of you who know I am on Weight Watchers, I weighed in this morning and lost 3.8 pounds last week which brings my total to 15.1 pounds since January 16th. I need to lose a total of 50 pounds to get down to what I SHOULD weigh for my height. So maybe the loss of appetite from my anxiety isn't such a bad thing! :)
My best to all.....
Packer
