pushing the panic button

Hey there,   When an anxiety attack occurs, adrenaline is automatically released into the system to prepare the body for flight or fight. This adrenaline rush causes the heart to pump faster making the heart muscles contract more and harder. This contraction is the reason behind the chest tightness and erratic heart palpitations many people feel when they are having high anxiety.     Everyone has an irregular heartbeat. Something triggers our awareness. Perhaps our personality is extra sensitive. Stress is most often mentioned as the trigger.   Chronic stress may increase our sensitivity to an irregular heartbeat. Whatever the cause I would recommended that you seek your physician's advice and if your heart is OK then ask your  Dr. if you would benefit from something to help you with the anxiety.   I hope that you can get to a resolution regarding this situation.
