Hi Lennon
Stay calm. Remember how you were before all this happened? - you are that same person. Dont let it get the better of you. You have the ability within you to take control and be your old self again. The feelings will pass if you let them. It is a struggle, I know, (been there done that)..but it can be done. When you find yourself saying 'what if' stop yourself instantly, and instead, say 'so what'..stop fearing these things so much. 'What if' you tripped and fell? You would get up, dust yourself off, and carry on again..life is like that. 'So what' is the attitude / mantra you need to adopt. So what if you had a bit of a breakdown, you would get over it, and back to normal, as other people do. It is your fear driving all this. The mind is a powerful thing, if you want to get better, all you have to do is start believing that you will. Believe in yourself! Please dont get frustrated / agitated that it is not happening overnight. Of course you are having heightened symptoms, you have been worried about going back to work for weeks, building it up in your head. There are great meds that can calm fairly fast, and even just having them on your person gives you an extra feeling of control. I hope you can find what works best for you to get through this difficult time.
