A broad range of complaints falls under the categories of dizziness and vertigo. Anxiety is one of them. If your Dr. has reassured you that you did not have a seizure I would trust that he has advised you well.
Common sysmptoms of anxiety include restlessness, irritability, fatigue, muscle tension, difficulty sleeping, sweating and shortness of breath. The contriction of blood vessels that occurs in anxiety can inhibit blood flow to the brain, resulting in dizziness. Feelings of nervousness triggered by anxiety can also lead to hyperventilation, a condition that occurs when breathing beccomes rapid. Hyperventilation results in a decreased level of carbon dioxide in the blood, which triggers the blood vessels in the extremities and head to contrict, decreasing the amount of blood and oxygen reaching the brain and leading to dizziness.
Breathing exercises are the best treatment for hyperventilation due to anxiety.
Big breath and know you will be ok.
