valuim vs xanax

Hi, So ive taken .5mg 3 times daily of xanax for 2.5 months now. i just switched to valuim at .5mg 4 times daily for a week to get me off the xanax without withdrawls.. how many .5mg of valuim equals one .5mg of xanax?? i dont think the valuim is working as well as the xanax was but i guess that maybe the point since the doctors trying to get me off of it.

From the information I have 0.5mg of Xanax is = to 10mg of Valium.  If you have concerns re your weaning schedule please do talk with your Dr. as each of us is different and perhaps you need your weaning schedule tweaked to fit your needs.
