As if a sinus infection wasn't bad enough, it has moved to my chest, and THEN I got an ear infection. On a huge dose of antibiotics, and feeling misserable. Of course all I can think about is the different ways this could go wrong and kill me.

I feel pathetic. Such a common thing has me absolutely a wreck. I am afraid to take my meds but I am afraid the sickness will kill me. Right now I am just a bundle of chaos and it makes me feel... Awful. My significant other is out of town, and I just need some support.

Hi Jolleg,

I am so sorry to hear that you are not well.:( It is that time of year again I guess! My daughter has already had a cold going on since starting school a week ago...and my husband is battling a sinus thing right now.

Try to remember that you are going to be fine. You have been sick before and gotten through it, and you will again. It is important to take your antibiotics however to get over the infection.

I do not like to take medication either, but with antibiotics, it is not really a matter of choice...you just need to do it in ordet to get well.

I am sorry that you are without the support of your partner. I hope that we can cheer you up a bit, and know that we are wishing you well and cheering you on to getting better.:)

Thank you for your support. I am doing okay today. Ear seems a little better, but I had several panic attacks last night. I have become hyper vigilant for side affects from the amoxicillin. Particularly the one that warns of behavior change.

I have never had a reaction to Amoxicillin. The only reaction I ever had from an antibiotic was some mild 'D'...and it was actually Cipro, which is kind of known for that.

Amoxicillin is much milder, and you probably won't have any issues.:)
