I am taking Celexa 10mg, and even at such a low dose it has already really helpful. However, it has been giving me hand tremors. At times it really freaks me out. My doc said it should go away with time. Did anyone else have this experience or have something to say to help me over these anxiety bumps?

Hi

Yes when first starting a new medication you can get a veriety of side effects which can be troublesome and anxiety provoking but as your doctor said these should lesson after 2 weeks once you have got new to the new medication.  If things continue I would defo go back and speak with your doctor I hope it works for you.

Thank you, it is really appreciated. I went and did the stupid thing and read about ALL the potential side effects... Of course I am now worried that if it is giving me tremors maybe it will make me have prolonged QT which can lead to heart failure. But I should know better by now.

Those two things are not related...they are just two possible side effects...in fact, the tremors are listed under common and the latter is listed under 'rarely occuring', so I don't think that you need to worry about that.

Many medications can cause tremors as a side effect, and actually just anxiety can do it as well. I do not take meds and I have had this a few times.

Try not to worry about it...the less you focus on it, the less it will be bothersome to you.:)
