Hi cole...how are you feeling today?
I was awakened last night by one of our cats. I poppped up out of bed to let it out, and when I lay back down, my heart, though not beating fast, felt like it was beating hard...like it was making my whole body vibrate. It was weird, but I told myself that the more I focused on it...the worse it would be. I also told myself that when I have been jolted awake in the past, that this has happened...and that I am always okay.
A sinus cold/ilness of any kind can make your heart rate high. Your body is exerting itself in a way...your breathing may be somewhat difficult, and of course when you are fighting off a virus or infection, your system is taxed. It is temporary though...and the more you can relax and let your body heal the better.
I hope that you are feeling improvement today, and that you get a good night's sleep tonight.
S.C.
p.s. medications for cold/flu/sinus can also have an effect on heart rate and/or BP...so know that if you are taking anything...that could also be a factor in how you feel.
