Alcohol and Zoloft

I have been on Zoloft for about 5 months now.  It has really worked wonders on my anxiety, to the point where it is really not an issue much anymore.  Since I have been on Zoloft I have not had any alcoholic beverages (with the exception of one glass of wine a couple weeks ago) for fear that there will be some weird side effect from it.  My best friend is getting married in a couple months and the bachelorette party is later this month.  I would really like to relax and have a few drinks to celebrate with my friend both at her bachelorette party and her wedding.  Obviously I know through my research that Zoloft could increase the effects of alcohol and I should not drive or operate machinery and all that good stuff, but I was wondering if any of you had any experience with drinking alcohol while on Zoloft. Did it make you sick or did it just make you a little less tolerant to alcohol?  Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I understand how you feel and this may be a question you want to run past your Dr.  I take a combination of meds so I rarely touch alcohol though I have had one drink from time to time on occasions.  I will notice that the effect of the alcohol hits faster and harder and sometimes I had to push away the glass and go back to my standard Diet Coke. 

99% of the time I do not drink and I still have a really good time.
