Meltdown

I went thru 2 meltdowns this past week. Last week at our weekly meeting. I was informed that I am no longer allowed to come into the city on weekends to be with my dad. I am basically living with him now because of his health issues. I reread the draft copy of my new contract tonite and saw there was a stipulation stating that I must notify my bosses at all times of where I am. Everyone I have talked to say my bosses are nuts. I get paid for the hours I work. I figured out that if I had to be on site 24/7 I would be making way less than $1.00 per hour. I feel that this almost slavery. I have talked to an atty and he first said they were within their legal rights but he has since said he wanted to see my contract which I faxed to him and am now waiting to hear back from him. I do not want to sign the contract until changes are made. I am not saying I am not willing to compromise but I do not see that as an option. They want total control over me. Both my sister and I feel this new contract is in retaliation due to my accident this past fall. I am not a strong person and not one to stand up for my self. I feel I am entitled to a life. I sometimes think they are doing this because they feel they can get away with it. I can't handle anymore meltdowns.

I'm doing my best to hold on. Today my friend and I stopped by my bosses house to pick up some things and to see gramma. She asked if I was staying out at the complex. I told her not yet as I am not ready to do to the stairs because of my dog. She emailed me tonite and told me to start looking for am apt on a lower floor and that not staying out there during the week was no longer an option. I am writing a letter to the atty. They can't afford an assistant. Not only do I need to make sure my dad takes his meds among other things, I am starting PT again one day a week for 6 weeks, but every other week I see my therapist, and in March I am starting some major dental work and all of these things are over on the Kansas side of State Line and the complex is about a 20-25 drive from the complex in Missouri.

I need to come up with a solution very soon. I am in the begining stages of looking for a job. I have made my résumé and now need to go back to the job search place for help on interviewing. I am willing to compromise and stay out there part of the time, part because I need some personal time to myself and part to keep my job and part due to the price of gas.

Does anyone have any ideas?
