Hello,
So I guess this comes along in anyone's journey through anxiety with doctor's but I decided to take my case to another doctor at a local clinic. I've been having heart flutters throughout this week and although I've been to the doctor already (Tuesday) I made the decision to talk to another doctor. I presented my case to him as it is and he discussed he thinks I'm having PVCs and explained why I might feel them at night or while resting. His discussion was a relief and it took a little of the anxiety I've been feeling off the edge. He discussed it from a heart problem aspect and not solely as an anxiety issue. He discussed he agrees with my primary doctor about going to see a cardiologist and said I would benefit greatly from wearing a 30 day event monitor to "catch" the PVC's or whatever else might be going on. He also said if I am not satisfied with the cardiologist, as in the treatment isn't alleviating the symptoms, that I might benefit from going to a electrophisiologist (sp?) cardiologist in Austin. He stated if there is a problem that they might be able to fix it there. I really liked this doctor because he discussed he had suffered from IBS anxiety during his med school and still does from time to time. Talking to someone in real life who understands what it is like to deal with anxiety is a huge boost.
I see my therapist Monday and look forward to preparing for the Hypnotherapy. I hope this weekend goes well for you all!
