urine test for benzos anyone?

I've been voluntarily tapering off of clonazepam, and recently had to be seen by MD in order to get it renewed. I've gone from .75mg/day to .125/day. When I was there the MD said that I had to give a urine sample to see if I was abusing it. I said how could I be when I'm not even taking as much as what's prescribed for me. He said some get it from other places. I was insulted, but thought maybe it was a new rule since I know they're tightening up on prescribing it.

According to the RX, I can take 4 .125 tablets per day. And I only take one.

That was two days ago and I haven't heard of results. Someone I know said he might have suspected other drugs besides clonaz.  or could be going by my behavior which I don't see could be taken as abnormal.

Has this happened to anyone else? It's really made me upset. He's not my MD but I think he said my MD in same clinic asked for the test. I'm not sure about that though. I was so shocked I wasn't retaining that info.I had to see him because it takes 6 weeks to see my own MD which also infuriates me!

 

A few years ago my Wife wanted to see if she could get off all meds I was happy to agree with this, she wanted to see if she could get past the med withdrawal and deal with the A/P with different things we had heard about in therapy, she had to be admitted to a clinic to go through the process, once inside the staff and Dr's treated her like a street addict she called me crying and I went to town and signed her out, there were no legitimate A/P people there everyone was put in there by the court for drug abuse, short version the Dr. was the 2nd Dr. I fired, there were more to come.
They assume we are all lying, everything we say sounds like a real addict and the more we talk the worse it sounds. My take is these forums and a good GP are more useful than those snake pits called mental hospitals.
