AlbernThanks for your comment and good point. I find with IBS I did not know which came first...............the IBS and then anxiety re the problems that arise with IBS or did my anxiety cause the IBS.
Anxiety is a feeling of apprension or fear, sometimes a person may not even realize they are feeling this way. It makes me feel uneasy, and can cause great distress, including distress to my body body (physical symptoms).
To find if anxiety is the root of your symptoms, you want to really evalutate these things. Get a notebook and ask yourself a few questions.
What physical symptoms am I having?
When are these symptoms happening the most?
What am I stressed about the most?
Am I taking care of myself physically and mentally?
These questions work for any physical sx that a person may be experiencing possibly due to anxiety. The list of symptoms of anxiety is extremely long - this link is from our resources at the top of the page.

You suggested, " I think first we have to overcome the IBS problem symptoms." I agree that is very important as well as seeing your physician for a complete medical screening exam to confirm the dx of IBS.
We have a great IBS Forum and the members of that forum are always willing to share what works for them in controlling their IBS which can be either diarrhea or constipation. Here is the link to the IBS forum:
