Hi everyone
Today is day 9 on 5mg of Lexapro. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar side effects.
The first 7 days were the worst. Extreme anxiety, nausea, vomiting, insomnia and diarrohea.
They seem to have settled down but I'm still feeling dizzy and a bit lightheaded and my vision seems blurry like I can't focus properly.
I've seen an optometrist and he says all ok with my vision so just wondering if anyone else has had this? It's worrying me a little but I'm not panicking about it. Hoping that its just a normal side effect from this drug. Will this settle down?

You are just over the week mark of starting an SSRI, which can typically take anywhere from 6-10 weeks to build up, level out and reach its full theraputic levels.

So, yes, the side effects are to be expected. However, if you are concerned, or are worried about your ablity to work, drive, ect...a call to your doctor or pharmacist couldn't hurt.

I am not on lexapro, but those are my typical physical symptoms of my anxiety. I hope that you level out and your anxiety etc, calms down. I'm sorry u are going through all that right now.

Hi,I am on day 11 of 10mg lexapro and I have all the same symptoms I cant stand up for more than 5 minutes without feeling like I am going to pass out.

I'm only on day 3 of starting with 5 mg of Lexapro for anxiety and severe OCD. I am terrified of taking these meds, but I am ruining my family's life with my issues. I honestly don't hold much hope that anything is going to help me.
