Went to the event and am now back home. I had pretty bad anxiety on the way there but once there, I completely was able to distract myself from it and went on to have a great evening. Things are definitely much better than they use to be, but I still have these recurrences from time to time.
For Shadawn, CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. There is a link to it somewhere on this site, but being on my cell at the moment, it's harder for me to find just where it is. Definitely look it up.... it's very helpful. The breathing and muscle-relaxation techniques seem to help me the best.
Thanks to everyone for the comments. When anxiety kicks in, I find it most comforting to hear from others who understand what I'm going through. *hugs to all*
