Fibroids and anxiety

My doc's office called me and said I have 2 rather large fibroids - i'm not bleeding but it's scaring me because I hear of women, including my mom, who had intense bleeding from these stupid things@! I don't want to have surgery later. does anyone have any experience with this? i'm having carpal tunnel surgery next week and don't need to hear this!

i'm supposed to visit with my doctor next month - she said my uterus is swollen. maybe this is why I feel so bloated and like I can't get rid of my lower tummy pooch. idk.

women have to deal with too many issues! ha

I have breast fibroids...not uterine. I am not thrilled, but neither am I worried, as my doctor told me not to be concerned, and that it is common.

I am sure that you will hear the same from you Gyn when you go in. They may be able to shrink them down with hormone therapy as well.:)

Best wishes with your CT surgery. How are you feeling about that...doing okay?

Hazel, my buddy, you are going to be fine..............ask your Dr. if the fibroids should be removed. Try not to work yourself up as this procedure is fairly common.

Also thank you for all your sweet thoughts and prays you have sent me via email. You are very thoughtful.

Hazle my wife had bleeding fibroids for years, then she got to needing bladder suspension, went in three years ago and had everything done, She is bad over weight and they still did everything from the outside, She is fine and has no problems. Peace

i'm doing ok about the surgery so far I think sc.
although I've noticed my heartrate seems fast the last couple of days.
could be my son's dad trying to get my son more and I don't want him to too. giving me a hard time about child support. feeling bullied. wish I didn't react like this though. it's so subconscious. I feel relaxed but yet my hr feels fast. haven't been sleeping the best either. don't know why i'm worrying - he doesn't even have a day job yet.
i'm going to biofeedback tomorrow. yay!!!
