So today I was working&in comes this woman I don't know how we got on subject,but she started telling me how she works for a doctor who treats illness the natural way& the doctor treats everything from diabetes to spine&thyroid problems and said first visit was free&it just so happen that Iam off next two days,so I have a visit for wen&Iam grateful. Because if I can start to treat everything natural I will because I hate taking pills,and thyroid pill acts as if it just don't want to work so if it's a 100% change in everything that I eat so be it and will do what ever it takes to start feeling extra great.

Dawn, nothing will replace thyroid except thyroid, no vitamin, or any kind of herb will do, your system requires thyroxine to produce all the other hormones in your body, Please do not play around with this one medicine!

I was going to warn you similarly...I think holistic medicine has its merits...but for major things such as this, I would stick to what your doctor has prescribed you.

My husband is Type 1 diabetic and my sister, who is well meaning, tried to say that she could help him get set up with a nutritional/suppliment plan so that he wouldn't have to take insulin.

I kindly told her that she doesn't know what she is talking about. While many things can be improved through diet and holistics...lack of insulin from a non functioning pancreas is not one of them.

Neither is not having part of your thyroid that you need for hormonal balance as Larry said.

Please consider carefully whatever you decide!

Yes I know that about the thyroid meds and I have did research on that&Iam looking to get my system in order,to have a healthy thyroid where the pills work inside system has to be healthy&in order. I know there is only so long a person can live without thyroid meds,and thats not the chance Iam willing to take&yes there is no pill like the thyroid pills. But there are natural meds to help the gland,and natural pills to help anxiety&when the way one eats&drinks is in order. This can cause anxiety to be no more many ppl need to understand we are what we eat, and learn we need to eat to live not live to eat&thats a fact and truth. But thank you both for watching out for me for that Iam grateful.
