today has not been a good day!! :-(

Good news is I haven't experienced any severe headaches today..yayyy..I went to da dentist yesterday and turns out I needed a root canal (explains da headaches and jaw pain) so I'm currently in da process of gettin dat dun. As far as today I decided to get dolled up for work. Becuz of course when I look pretty I feel pretty INSIDE AND OUT. But dat wasn't da case. Although I looked beautiful I felt AWFUL. Keep feelin dis dull sharp feelin in my chest either near or on my heart. Then I kept havin flashes of heat run thru my body. My left wrist had dis sharp pain dat shot up to my elbow. My back was hurtin under da left shoulder blade..felt like a muscle knot or sumthin. Very uncomfortable. It was jst horrible. Took everything in me not to go to er. I couldn't stop prayin and hopin dat I wouldn't collapse or die at work EMBARRASSING RITE lol da only thing dat stopped me frm goin to er is da thoughyt of bein sent home becuz they couldn't detect anything and also frm my lass visit da er doc told me dat I'm fine and unless I'm sweatin profusely (when I'm not doin anything to cause those symptoms) and have fainted then I dnt need to come back. She said dat becuz I asked how would I kno if its sumthin seriois and she said if its my heart I would def sweat ..which I believe becuz when I had myocarditis I sweated without even tryin. So I guess I'm improvin but at da same time I'm still scared. Especially becuz I am a strong believer in SIGNS. I take EVERYTHING AS A SIGN. its irritating but I can't help it. I jst knew my heart was goin to fail me today at work based on all my symptoms and it didn't help dat an older man came to my register and out of nowhere stated dat he had recently had a triple bypass on his heart. Talk abt FREAKED OUT...I became scared as hell. Like omg it is my heart kike y would he come outta nowhere and talk to ME abt his triple bypass. There were several otha cashiers..I had jst came bacc frm break..and out of alllll ppl he came to my register and told me without me even askin wat was wrong wit him? Thinkin abt it now I'm still freaked out..am I da only one dat looks at signs and relate it to me in some way?

It sounds like you are in an anxiety cycle right now. It can be hard to break out of this state, but it can be done.

Get to a quiet place where you can relax fully. Get comfortable with some pillows and something warm or cool to drink. (your choice) Put on some relaxing music if you like...or keep it completely calm and silent. Practice your deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation exercises for at least 10 minutes. Say your positive and reassuring mantras as you do this. Feel the worry and tension drain from your body, and imagine your stress and symptoms being released from your mind and body with each exhale.

I can say with a lot of certainty that you will feel better if you really put effort into practicing this!

I am really sorry that you had a bad day. I hope that tonight you get a great night's sleep...and that tomorrow is much, much better!

Thanks guys for da support...guess I jst really have a lot of ME to work on..I refuse to let anxiety get da best of me but I have to admit..it is certainly difficult lol Im jst really havin a hard time believing dat all of these symptoms r mind-made..its crazy.
