Have you mentioned this to your doctor, just so that he/she is aware? It is no doubt anxiety...and it is great that your EKG was normal...but there are things that your doctor could recommend.
A beta blocker, cutting out caffeine and processed foods and a slow, gradual exercise plan could all be possible discussions for you to have with your medical care provider.
You will get there...you can get started today with some yoga/meditation type of activities to help reduce your anxiety, and thus bring your heart rate down hopefully.
