I have just been increased by 37.5 of effexor from 75mgs. I had some pretty bad side effects getting this far and was wondering what everyone's experience has been when you increase up into the higher mgs. Thanks.

It can happen...but should be to a lesser extent. Your body is already accustomed to the med in a general sense...at the level that you are currently on, so the increase should not be as rough as the start up.

Try not to anticipate any increase in s/e's...this will go a long way toward ensuring a smooth bump in dosage.

I am on Effexor 75mg so far. The only thing I am noticing is sometimes stomach is upset as well as headache. But the headaches have subsided. I have been taking it a little over a week. Do you feel hot? I always feel hot now. Not necessarily sweaty. But my legs, head , cheeks and ears all seem to be warm. I was wondering if anyone else had this as well.

When I was on the 37.5 dosage I seemed to have no side effects. Everyone talks about how horrendous they seem to be but I haven't felt any so far. I like this medicine the best out of any.

Thank you SMU - I don't feel hot but I certainly perspire a lot, especially at night.
