So I accidentally took Lexapro twice today..

So this is how it happened- I forgot to take my meds Sunday night so I took them Monday morning. Since I usually take my medicine at night, I took it again Monday night without thinking. Then this afternoon I wasn't thinking again and ended up taking it again. I didn't even realize what I had done until hours after!
I've been taking way too much of this stuff, all twelve or more hours apart, but still. I feel like an idiot!

I called the pharmacy and they said it was probably fine but asked if I wanted them to call poison control. I said yes. The pharmacy called me back and said poison control said it should be fine, unless I start experiencing weird side effects. The pharmacist also said to only take 5mg tomorrow.

So even though they said it was most likely okay, I still can't stop obsessing over it! I keep worrying that I'm going to start developing side effects, even though the last dose I took was 6 hours ago. Wouldn't something have shown up by now?
Ugh I can't believe I even did this.

Lexapro is what they put me on. I was on a very low dose. Took it for couple months and hated it. I think you will be fine for taking it just once like that. I don't blame you for worrying about it, Lexapro is some powerful stuff.

So, how did you fair the next day after taking too much?
