Lost a friend yesterday

I don't know if this belongs here, but I have to get this out.

After a year of battling brain cancer, one of my family's best friends passed away yesterday. I kind of knew this day would come when treatment wasn't working, but didn't really want to think about it, you know? You don't really want to think about it when in a situation like this.

I'm not crying, which is weird, but I can't help but think of how unfair this whole thing is. She was one of the kindest, happiest, and most gentle ladies I knew. and for her to be taken before her time really depresses me. If there is a Heaven, I know for a fact that she's there.

Rest in peace, Sandy. You will be dearly missed.
