No, don't worry...but you are smart to ask, as this seems like a huge difference...because it is!
These meds are completely different in their mg dosage levels.
Venlafaxine's (SNRI) maximum dose is up to 225-375 mg...
Citalopram's (SSRI) is recommeded at 40 (although 60 is sometimes prescribed)
So you are not up their in the stratosphere with your mg's at all...there is just a difference in the medication's chemical make-up (SNRI vs SSRI) and their recommended dose levels.:)
