I think it's from my nose being stuffy and breathing through my mouth more - but does anyone else feel this way sometimes? like your breathing is off cause of your nose? my little boy has a very stuff nose a lot from this and i'm always trying to make it go away for him. meds, nose washes, etc. me too. but I read a post on here the other day about
breathing and I think I might have took on that symptom. is that weird?
ugh it's just hard to explain but it's like a feeling in the back of my throat and nose. makes me anxious. lawrdy. kinda feel out of breath at times. dealing with so much death lately. i'm sure that doesn't help. my sister's father in law passed away the other night after my son's friend, my surgeon who just did my hand surgeon died tragically in a plane crash, my gma a few months ago and a friend at work's husband. it's neverending. ugh
I need to chill out.

Hi HN.,
I am sure that your anxiety has kicked up due to the very reasons that you mentioned. Loss, death and subjects of this matter of course are going to get us thinking of our own mortality/health and the fragility of life in general.
I don't have congestion as a trigger...for me it is stomach/flu issues...feeling weak, ect....but it is the same idea. Feeling off physically is an
open door for the anxiety to waltz through!
Use your coping skills, and don't let your thoughts run amok. You can help keep yourself in a good place with positive mantras and breathing/meditation exercises.
I hope that you can find some peace in your day today.:)

thank you - i'm such a whiner. I need to the positive more than the negative I guess. ugh
sometimes that deep deep breathing makes me feel worse. maybe i'm not doing it right.

Oh, I didn't really think of that! If you are congested...that might make you feel worse!
Try meditation, postive mantras and progressive muscle relaxation instead.;)

I get this as well. I just had it happen last night. My nose was stuffy and that just triggered the mouth breathing which triggered the anxiety. It is really helpful to me to read all of these posts where people have the same symptoms. Most of the time I think I am the only one and that' I'm crazy!

Hi Hazel,
AS a person with anxiety I tend to have moments when I feel so anxious I cry and that stuffs up my nose........ My hubby gets a stuffy nose a lot and I suspect his is due to allergies as he spends much of his time outdoors.
Keep practicing those deep breathing techniques.
Hugs,
Kitt
