Have you tried breathing or PMR exercises yet to calm down? How about meditation/yoga, or some exercise?
If you have gone through your list of go to coping stategies...then you may need to just go ahead and use your Rx, but try your self-help treatments first.
I hope that you can find the relief that you need...either way!
