Morning all ive been up a couple of hours now stressing ovr whether I have made right choice for my son's secondary scool there is nothing I can do about it as forms already gone in. But tonight we had a sleepover over and his best friend is such a nice little boy but as it is he wont be going to the same school and im worried he will be miserable withput him. It was my sons own choice originally but feel a year before it happens is a long time to expect a 10 yr old to choose. Also its an all boys school and for xmas he has been receivimg present s from girls which makes me think he is friendlier with them than I thought. Sorry if this seems so trivial to others its just there is no one to talk to at this time in morning. X

It is not trivial...our kids are our lives, so their concerns become our naturally.

I think as long as you facilitate lots of time for your son and his 'old' friends to hang out, outside of school time that will work out well...

...and also encouraging new friendship at the new school with social activites at your house will help him develop connections quickly.

This will be a lot of work on your part...but worth it in the long run.:)
