Ray,
Please remind me...are you curretly on an Rx? Are you seeing a mental health professional for therapy?
I would be remiss if I did not address your mention of self-harm (I did have to edit you since we are not allowed to discuss this outright...it can be a trigger for those who are sensitive)
If you are contiuing to have thougts of this nature, I urge you to use this resource AND reach out to a family member/friend. Certain medications, especially in the start up stages can cause these intrusive and impulsive thoughts...as can simply dealing with anxiety/depression of course
National Suicide Hotline
1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433)
This is a combined network of the Amerian Association of Suicidology, the National Hopeline Network, CONTACT USA, and many other organizations. Call are automatically routed to the nearest crisis center to the phone from which the call for help is placed.
Hopefully this is not an ongoing issue for you...but as I say, I would rather over react to these kinds of statements, then under react.
Please keep seeking help for your symptoms. You can talk to your doctor about treatment options, and of course use our many good ideas in our Resources.
Keep talking with us...support is key!
