The thing is, each experience will be different. Once our hormones begin to change, what was once our established balance no longer exists, and what takes its place, is a constant state of fluctuation.
That means that you will or could feel different symptoms month to month and year to year.
Mine were worst the first few years leading up to menopause. As if the hormonal symptoms aren't enough to induce anxiety (such as rapid heart beat, the night sweats, mood changes),....anxiety takes on a whole new life of its own (at least it did for me).
I found that I had to stop trying to plan for mood shifts or anxiety because I did not have any "cycle" of hormones to be dependent upon or rely upon. Learning self-soothing techniques is so important for coping skills because the challenges you face are going to continue to vary for, quite possibly, the next number of years.
