Hi again! So, a brief summary of my antidepressent-taking-life: I started having panic attacks about a year ago. When I finally went to my doctor about it, she prescribed me a steadily increasing dose of Bupropion, both SR and XL. It made me nauseous, more anxious, angry, and violent (only with myself, kicking walls, etc.)
We disagreed on its' success after three months, and so I went to her husband (my other doctor - lol) and he prescribed me Zoloft, for 25mg a day for the first five days and then 50mg a day after that.
I've been on the Zoloft for just over two weeks now, and tomorrow is my last day of weaning off Bupropion (Wellbutrin).
I had nausea the first night of Zoloft, and fairly bad joint and muscle pain the second and third days, but since then I've felt great. Better than I have in months. Sure, I still get easily irritated, but that's always been true - and I have high hopes for when I'm off the Bupropion completely in a few days. I can much more easily control my reactions to negative situations. I still get that helpless feeling, but can calm it more quickly and I don't cry or shout anymore.
I also just got a job! My orientation is tomorrow and I'll be training over the weekend. (Meaning I'll miss my brother's soccer game for the fourth straight weekend! Argh!)
I'm incredibly excited about my progress, and starting my new job. I'm nervous, yes, but I've gone through Starbucks' crazy training regime, so I'm hoping that has me well prepared for whatever TCBY has to offer.
I think getting out of the house more often and interacting with people again will help my attitude, too. Being around people socially always drains me, but somehow dealing with customers is easier. Still draining, but in a much slower fashion.
Wish me luck, guys, and maybe see this as a ray of hope for fellow Zoloft users. =)
