hey guys I keep getting stabbing pains in my chest both sides and middle. I can still do workouts mainly walking a few miles on incline and what not and snow blow and shovel but they scare me. I have had a stress Echos, ekg's, blood work ups, x rays, and holter monitor all of which always come back normal. Is it safe to say its not cardiac related? I feel like my heart is going to just stop..... :( does anyone get these awful pains, they last like only a few seconds to maybe 15 but might hurt a lttle afterwards. my chest cracks alot to like when i stretch back and stuff like that. I know its most likely not anything that serious but its still scary

Hi Kyle,
It might help if you look at it this way...
There are so many benign reasons for chest pains:
*tension
*labored/rapid/shallow breathing due to anxiety
*gastro issues
*tired/overworked thoratic muscles (anxiety related)
*costochondritis
Now consider the one chest pain that is serious...the one you are naturally focused on and afraid of...
...well, that has been ruled out by your very complete cardio work-up!
So the facts point to what you are experiencing as being anxiety related (or gastro, or costo, which is inflamed cartilage around the rib cage) so the best thing you can do to get relief is to focus on your anxiety treatment.:) (or ask your doctor about
possible stomach or costo issues)
I hope that you can do some coping skills and find some peace and relief tonight!

Kyle I have heart disease and have had a HA sharp pains are
not your heart, but an unexpected sharp pain can cause an
adrenalin surge which will accelerate your heart and cause many
anxiety or panic symptoms, Peace
