Hey i was just wondering if anyone
Knows if this is a chest infection....
Ive had sore sternum ribs and back and will
Get sharp stabbing pains in chest
Ive had ecgs done before and my hearts fine
But anxiety gets the better of me :/

Hey I have the same thing I went to the dr and they said its most likely costochronditis, not sure I spelled that right but its spams and swelling int he chest wall and cartiledge in your ribs. I havce had plenty of EKG's and every other chest test you can. I get them at really random times. could also be GERD or acid reflux. hope this helps some!

Sorry to read of your problems however as many things can cause your chest to feel sore it would be wise to check with your Dr. Only your Dr. can test your for any infection.

Wondering if you happen to have an upper respiratory problem going on as often people will develop bronchitis with a harsh cough? I had a friend that fractured a rib from coughing so hard.

Just one of many causes of a sore chest.

Another thing to consider, have you been working out or maybe lifting anything heavy where you've strained the muscles around your ribcage?

Any increase in activity, horseplay, something that's keeping you moving around more than usual, bending and lifting,....things like that?

Your doctor would be the one that can dx your sx and give you sound answers. But we can certainly float some ideas around. But your doc's the one who is best to ask. :)
