Ears clogged , plugged

I am sorry you have another physical sx as it makes life hard to deal with and you have enough on your plate. I have read many comments re plugged up ears and lightheadedness from  anxiety so know that it can happen.

It is hard to believe that anxiety can cause so many symptoms especially pressure in your  ears. Perhaps you should be checked out by an ENT as this is not the same episode for which you were checked before.

Glad to know your Dr. has been thorough in the past and I hope at your appointment he finds something simple with a quick fix.  Do you have a history of sinus problems?

My daughter has had a very similar situation this past week and after 2 visits to her PCP they decided is was stress causing her headache, sore neck and high blood pressure.  I had suggested they check her sinuses and low and behold her right nares was inflamed.

Your ears, nose, and throat are all part of your upper respiratory system. They share anatomy and have similar mucus membrane linings, which means they get similar infections; an infection, an allergy, or another problem affecting one of them (from ear pressure pain and strep throat to problems with your sinuses and constant phlegm in the throat) may also affect the others.

You said you have another appointment scheduled? Is this with an ENT or your primary?

I'm glad you're following up again. A clear test a few months ago doesn't address what's going on today, so you'll feel a whole lot better once you get this visit, and let your doc take a peek into your ears.

My right ear canal routinely gets inflamed. My whole ear, ear lobe, and right around my ear will turn bright red, almost purple. My PT commented on it the other day. And yep, it happens when I'm run down, when I'm embarrassed, nervous, anxious, frustrated, angry. And it's always the right side, and the sharp pains go deep into the canal. My ear will even get quite warm to the touch.

All my tests have come back negative, but I still routinely make sure to have everything checked out,--this included,--in case something changes along the way.

Larry brought up a good point about a weakened immune system, (regardless of cause),....we all have "weak links" that seem to be the first to show our flare ups.
